Twitter user @LeonidasNFT recently tweeted an alleged Yuga Labs pitch deck. In the long Twitter thread, there were lots of juicy details about current positioning, direction, past achievements, partnerships, company events, and more. According to the pitch deck, one of the main goals is to build something that expands the BAYC universe, including the NFT community as a whole. Their answer: a game metaverse known as MetaRPG.
Can the metaRPG work?
Basically, society today has identified various problems in the NFT space. Tons of NFT and metaverse projects operate in silos, using their own strategies and methodologies. If this continues, the virtual world will become increasingly fragmented, making the whole point of the metaverse questionable.
Over the years, there have been several strong communities that have come together for decades. A good example would be the gaming industry, for example Grand Theft Auto and World of Warcraft have created solid communities that are really fun to be a part of. Therefore, Yuga Labs incorporates this approach into its interoperable gaming metaverse instead of the “silo” approach. Therefore, MetaRPG.
The so-called field bridge leaked he also explained why they think their metaverse approach will be successful. Yuga Labs has already established a strong position in space, a position that today’s culture is obsessed with. As big as BAYC is, the MetaRPG will be bigger and better, making other metaverses obsolete.
Under the assumption that this pitch deck is legitimate, Yuga Labs will create an all-new gaming experience where players will be able to use their NFT characters as game assets, and the company will release a software development kit to help developers and creators create NFT for any community. Therefore, their in-game market will eventually have an infinite ecosystem. Inside will be new characters, new digital handheld devices and new game developments.
And now the juicy stuff
Yuga Labs’ latest teaser showed some possible introductions to a new project launching in April 2022. This leaked pitch deck actually contains screenshots of that teaser video, along with explanations the community is asking for. According to the description, Kodas, the last remaining Celestial Race, takes the Bored Monkeys and other interoperable NFTs to a strange new land.
This new game will feature 200,000 storylines in total. Half of which will be allocated to the Genesis launch. Of this half, 30% will go to the holders of BAYC and MAYC, while the rest of the land will go to public sale. In each piece of land there will be random natural resources, rare artifacts and perhaps even a Koda. Since there are only 10,000 Kodas, only 5% of landowners will be lucky enough to get them.
Finally, the deck includes the future roadmap for this project, strategic investments for 2022, as well as a short financial report. Again, assuming this game is legit, the community will finally get some inside information on one of the best NFT projects. How cool it is!
